Purple? Foods. Funny name right? Let me tell you how it all started.

Okay, so picture this… two young Aussie backpackers trekking through South America find their way to Brazil – the land of sun, surf, samba and senoritas. While relaxing on the white sands of Copacabana amongst a plethora of beautiful people something amazing caught their eye. No, not that …it was something everyone was eating, something purple, ice cold, and topped with fruit…it was Açaí, Brazil’s superfruit and boy was it delicious.

Upon returning to reality (Melbourne, Australia), the boys couldn’t help but let their minds wander back to those sunny beaches of Brazil…to that land of sun, surf, samba, senoritas and Açaí. The boys got to thinking, there had to be a way to recapture the essence of their Brazilian summer.

The answer was simple, bring what they felt to be the key ingredient back to Australia – Açaí But why stop there the boys thought, there had to be tons of new, exciting and tasty food and beverage products not yet on our shores…and thus, Purple? Foods was born.
