Soft serve premix or pure açaí pulp?

Both have a place on a menu. But they're different products — and it pays to know exactly what's in the hopper.

01Traditional açaí

Pure frozen pulp in sachets — either unsweetened or sweetened with cane sugar and guarana, nothing else. It's the base for blended bowls and smoothies, and it keeps açaí's earthy, berry-and-dark-chocolate character intact.

02Soft serve açaí

A frozen dessert: açaí pulp blended with sweeteners, syrups, gums and colourings to reach the texture a soft-serve machine needs. Done well it's a fast, consistent serve. Done cheaply — low-grade pulp, heavy fillers — it's an ice-cream wearing an açaí costume.

03How to choose

If your customers come for authentic, nutrition-forward bowls, blend pure pulp. If speed of service matters most, soft serve earns its spot — provided the mix starts from quality pulp. Ask any supplier what grade goes into their premix; if they can't answer, that's your answer.

04Where we sit

We supply both: pure top-grade sachets and cubes for blending, and our own soft-serve mix and scoopable sorbet — manufactured in Melbourne from Brazilian açaí, so we can answer the grade question precisely.
